Win Millions in The Lafarge Africa Essay Competition 2020

Lafarge Africa Plc launches a prize-winning essay competition with the theme “Building the Nigeria of my dreams.” The multinational company does this as its contribution to national development and to awaken citizens’ patriotism.
However, the competition for the year 2020 Â is to celebrate 60th anniversary of Nigeria and 60th anniversary of LAP existence in Nigeria.
Facts about the company
Lafarge Africa is a part of the LafargeHolcim Group – the biggest building and concrete solutions company world-wide. It serves Nigeria and South Africa in different capacities with products designed to better human lives in the areas of building and constructions.
Information on the competition
The essay competition is arranged into two sections:
The Junior Category – the essay shall not be more than 500 words (+/- 10%)
The Intermediate category – the essay shall not be more than 750 words (+/- 10%)
Criteria for participation
For the junior category of the competition, eligible candidates are pupils of public primary schools between the ages of  9 and 13 years .
For the intermediate category of the competition, the candidates shall be students from public junior secondary schools between the ages of 9 and 13 years. Â
This offer is not open to the children of the employees of LAP
Worth of the the prize to win:
N1, 500,000.00 for the first position, including branded school accessories like bags, water bottles, flasks, pre-loaded educational tablets and books.
N1,000,000.00 Â for the second position, including branded school accessories like bags, water bottles, flasks, pre-loaded educational tablets and books.
 N750,000.00 for the third position, including branded school accessories like bags, water bottles, flasks, pre-loaded educational tablets and books.
Additional prizes to be won
Authors from each category who have two great essays will be given 200,000.00 plus branded school accessories like books, flasks, bags and water bottles.
A desktop computer system with complete accessories  will be given to schools of those who will emerge as top winners across all  categories.
