TEF AND UNDP TO EMPOWER 100,000 ADDITIONAL ENTREPRENEURS APPLICATION OPENS JULY 2019

The Tony Elumelu Foundation has sent out a release concerning the TEF-UNDP Sahel Youth Entrepreneurship Programme. The information is quoted as follows:
“We are pleased to announce the partnership between the Tony Elumelu Foundation and UNDP to empower 100,000 additional entrepreneurs in 7 Sahel African countries over a 10-year period. This is in addition to the 10,000 African entrepreneurs that the Foundation is already committed to.
Starting this July, applications open for African entrepreneurs residing in the following countries: Nigeria (Northern), Niger, Chad, Cameroun, Mauritania, Mali and Burkina Faso.
With this partnership, the Tony Elumelu Foundation gives hope to the thousands of African entrepreneurs who have not been selected for its TEF Entrepreneurship Programme. With more partners on the way, we hope to do much more – we are unleashing the potential of the African continent!”
In a 2017 signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Tony Elumelu Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) agreed to work together to accelerate Africa development using the tool of entrepreneurship.
The Tony Elumelu Foundation, established in Nigeria 10 years ago has steadily become the biggest philanthropic organization in Africa.
At the official event where the winner of 2019 Tony Elumelu Foundation was announced, UNDP declares that it has contributed as much as 3.7 million US dollar in the 2019 cohort of the grant and will assist more than 750 African entrepreneurs in 2019.
The money comes as a contribution from designated UNDP offices in Africa, together with Nigeria

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE TEF-UNDP GRANTS STEP BY STEP GUIDE
Recently the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) formally announced another big partner of the organization’s yearly grant program. This new partnership between TEF United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has now given birth to the TEF-UNDP Sahel Youth Entrepreneurship Programme.
The programme however target only African Entrepreneurs from Northern Nigeria, Chad, Mali, Cameroun, Burkina Faso, Niger and Mauritania. Over the next ten years, this programmme will empower 100,000 entrepreneurs residing in these seven Sahel nations of Africa.
Those who are eligible should log on to www.tefconnect.com. This is the website of the Tony Elumely Foundation grant application.
If you applied for Tony Elumelu in January, 2019 and was not selected, you don’t need to sign up again. Just sign in directly. If you are new on the tefconnect platform, you will need to sign up or register.
