Mahathir Science Award MSA offers awards for the year 2021. The foundation is ranked as one of the most reputable science award giver unto any individual, institution or organization across the globe as recognitions for their scientific innovations and technological inventions which address significantly the societal problems in the area of tropics.

The focused work endeavours for the award are Tropical Agriculture, Tropical Architecture and Engineering, Tropical Medicine, and Tropical Natural Resources. In order to give the award to the best qualified and to thereby encourage excellence, the foundation extends the offer beyond the boundaries of Malaysia.

Categories

The beneficiaries of the 2021 award shall be any individual, a group of individuals or an organization with internationally recognized breakthrough in the following fields:

Tropical Agriculture

Tropical Architecture and

Engineering

Eligibility

Any scientist, institution or organization across the world with notable effort in problem solving innovations in the tropics.

Award

The award is a cash prize of USD 100, 000, a gold medal and a certificate. (one award each year)

Criteria for Selection

The winner of the award shall be selected based on the breakthroughs in scientific endeavours and their positive effect in people’s life and environments.

Application

The nominee’s merit will be assessed in line with materials provided by the nominator and responses to the questions in the nomination form. it is important that the nominator attaches to the form all the nominee’s background information and evidences of all that qualify him for the award.

List of publications and patent (granted and pending)

Letter of referral (at least two (2) letters of referral to support the nomination)
