AfOx Visiting Fellows Program 2020 for African Scholars and Researchers (Fully Funded to Oxford University)

The AfOx Visiting Fellows Programme is designed to enhance academic mobility and network building. The program supports mid-career African researchers to undertake a Fellowship of 2 months at the University of Oxford.
The AfOx Visiting Fellows Program is designed to enhance academic mobility and network building. The program supports African scholars and researchers working in any discipline to spend periods of flexible time in Oxford.
When?
The scheme will be for a period of 8 weeks from July 2020 to August 2020.
Except AfOx TORCH and AfOx TRADE Fellowships (September 2020 to October 2020).
What for?
The fellowships will cover one economy return ticket, an en-suite study bedroom for accommodation and a modest stipend for incidental expenses.
Resources
A temporary University card and temporary membership to an Oxford College Senior Common Room will be granted for the period of residency. The fellows will have access to relevant libraries, departments, archives and other resources.
After
Applicants will be required to submit a brief report within one year of the award to give details of outputs arising from the collaborative visit.

During the Fellowship, AfOx Fellows are associated with a department and college within the University. Fellows could be working with any of the University’s departments during the Fellowship period. Our partner colleges are:  All Souls College, Brasenose College, Christ Church College, Hertford College, Jesus College, Lady Margaret Hall, Merton College, Somerville College, St.Edmund Hall, St Peter’s College, Wadham College, Wolfson College
