When we talk about Canada, what pops into your head?

Your mind drifting towards the Niagara Falls or Toronto’s CN tower.

Do you know that Canada is a heavyweight when it comes to Education?

Only about 90% of Canadians have at least a high school diploma, and about one in seven individuals have a university degree.

That’s quite an achievement if you would agree with me. The country itself is divided into 10 provinces and 3 territories.

The country runs an educational system similar to that of Nigeria’s free Education but has 190 school days in a year. If you take a look at the Educational system in Canada, you will be captivated in awe.

Canada runs a public education that is provided, administered and funded by federal, provincial and local government. The country invests about 5.4% of its GDP on education.

Canada invests a lot on tertiary education ( more than $20,000 per student ), amazed right? Education is compulsory up to the age of 16, except for some provinces like Manitoba, Ontario and New Brunswick whereby the compulsory age is 18.

Well, I think now you would agree with me that Canada is an educational giant. Looking at Canada you would realize that the educational status is one to be admired and praised.

Canada is indeed a beautiful country. It occupies the northern region of the North American continent, which extends to the Atlantic Ocean on the east, the Pacific Ocean on the west, and northward into the Arctic country.

It’s the world’s second largest country by total area.

So why wouldn’t you want to study in such an awesome place?
